Countdown: 5 Days

So we're down in the single digits. Today was the final day of school in Auburn for all of us, as we had to turn in a paper about the history of Rome. It's starting to get pretty surreal. Invites have been sent out for all the classmates to join, and I'm sure they'll keep trickling in over the next few days. Maybe some of them will post? Hint hint.

Photosynth: Student Center

This weekend I decided to try my hand at a harder building to photosynth: our new student center. Exteriors are harder because there is so much going on around them the program has trouble picking out just the important parts. So I took a whole bunch of pictures, actually 216, and ended up failing anyway. The program was only able to get them about 20% stitched together. Each side of it was nicely put together, but the program wasn't able to figure out how to turn corners. Oh well, live and learn: you can't photosynth together a whole building.

Photosynth: Ross Hall

I went out this morning to practice with my camera, and to try my hand at making a photosynth. I made my way over to Ross Hall, a building with a very interesting interior. The hall, which is the main chemistry building, underwent a renovation in 1977 which entirely encased the original facade. Now when you walk in through the front door you are greeted by a large hall dominated by the brick and balconies of the 1930 building. There's also a pendulum swinging lazily along in the middle of the room.
